TRAINING OF TRAINER
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Trainers are important. They are the first contact and company experience most of your future employees will have with the company. The way training is managed and delivered sets the pace for the conduct of your employees into the future.
The behavior, skills and qualifications of your trainers will instill more in future employees than anything else they are taught in class. It is at training that the future of your company is set.
You should therefore choose your trainers carefully and ensure they have the demeanor, skills, values, culture, and qualifications to deliver training and set new employees on the kind of path you would like your employees to work within.
Trained and professional employees are an asset for any organization. For private security companies, it makes the difference between a professional organization and a briefcase one.
Trained security personnel not only perform better but increase the productivity of your organization and offer professional services for clients and the people they serve. A trained security officer is known at first contact.
Keeping in mind that individuals are the ones who make an organization, that is why it is said that the organization is the sum total of what employees achieve individually. Security companies should strive to ensure that their employees perform to their peak. This is only possible if private security companies prioritize training.
Professional and effective leadership is vital in running a private security company successfully while improving the overall performance and productivity of any organization. A training manager is critical for a security company.
Companies can do this by identifying someone qualified in the organization to manage and conduct training. We need to inculcate a culture of learning and strive to encourage continuous learning in private security companies.
Not every company invests in training. It is costly, takes time and logistics and there is the fear that employees will leave for other companies or other opportunities.
Training is critical for staff morale and retention; better-trained personnel are always the most productive and loyal. It is a statement to the personnel that the company cares about its people and the services it offers.
New employees perform better when they undergo training as opposed to those who haven’t. Acquiring new skills, sharpening existing skills contribute to better performance.
Training managers and other trainers should have the necessary knowledge and experience in order to get a trainer’s qualification. This course will equip them with the necessary tools and skills to prepare for, deliver and assess training.
This an entry-level course for new trainers as well as a refresher course for trainers who already have a previous training of trainer qualification and have experience delivering security training. trainers who have been training but have no training qualification will find this course useful in new knowledge and skills as well as a qualification and certification.
This course will refresh the skills and knowledge required to plan for a class, the skills, and confidence to deliver training, and the skills and knowledge to assess training and how to give evaluation and feedback. At the end, the trainers will receive a Trainers Manual, Guide and Training Book with the content required to deliver a Private Security Officer Level 1 Course.
Training is where it all begins, and the trainer is the one who jumpstarts the success of employees. By investing in the professional growth of your trainers, you’re also investing in the careers of your employees.
While you may be an experienced trainer, do you have the skills, knowledge, and qualification required to deliver training effectively, and is your content updated to the basic requirements of the law and current security threats?
As the workforce is ever-evolving, so do the new technologies and work culture that the younger generation of employees brings forth. Therefore, trainers need to stay abreast of new techniques and trends to address the changes in the labor force and the threats to public safety and security.
